Gifts to Staff and Faculty contribute to...
Faculty and staff are vital to the Saint Louis University community. More than 2,100 faculty members carry out SLU's Jesuit mission by inspiring students, conducting research in their fields and reaching out to the community. Our staff members spearhead and lead programs, actively support the work of our faculty and students and keep the University running smoothly. Support our faculty and staff from March 26 through April 9 to see what a difference a day can make!
- Helping Our Own Fund (10513)
Provide funding for a one-time monetary gift to any full-time or part-time permanent SLU employee experiencing a valid financial crisis. Helping Our Own exemplifies the University’s mission in action as we continue to build a community concerned for one another and committed to serving those in need.
- SLU Campus Kitchen (10990)
For more than 20 years, Saint Louis University Campus Kitchen has provided and delivered nutritious, ready-to-eat meals prepared on campus by SLU students for individuals, families and social-service organizations across the St. Louis area facing food insecurity. Campus Kitchen recovers surplus and donated food that would otherwise go to waste, such as items nearing sell-by dates that are still safe to eat. Since 2001, Campus Kitchen has recovered 600–700 pounds of unused food from campus dining halls, local grocers and community partners each week and transformed them into approximately 15,600 healthy meals annually.
Due to unforeseen changes with existing vendors, Campus Kitchen recently lost its two primary wholesale food recovery partners — St. Louis Area Foodbank and Trader Joe’s — and is now urgently seeking a new partner and donation streams to sustain this vital work.
