Gifts to College of Philosophy and Letters contribute to...
Saint Louis University’s College of Philosophy and Letters, established in 1889, oversees the Catholic Studies Center, which serves a diverse community of students from all majors across campus. The center offers an integrated program of academic, spiritual, social and cultural formation within a vibrant network of students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the University. The college is also home to one of three “First Studies” programs in the United States for young Jesuits in formation. It administers undergraduate and post-baccalaureate programs for students preparing for the priesthood or lay Catholic ministry. Committed to serving faith and justice through dialogue with culture, it welcomes Jesuits, archdiocesan seminarians, members of Catholic religious orders and laypeople. Support the College of Philosophy and Letters from March 26 through April 9 to see what a difference a day can make!
- College of Philosophy and Letters Dean’s Fund (11448)
Help provide financial support for instructors teaching courses designed for and taken by Jesuits in formation, which are deemed necessary by the dean.
- Catholic Studies Program Fund (11332)
Saint Louis University’s Catholic Studies Program introduces students to the full riches of the tradition, teaching them how to perceive God’s glory in the world and to think with the Church. Your gift will support programs that give students opportunities to creatively engage with the culture by using the tools of their primary field of study, and leave SLU ready to seek the greater glory of God in the worlds of business, education, health, law, engineering and academia.
