In 1985, Saint Louis University’s Practical Anatomy and Surgical Education (PASE) program, spearheaded by Paul H. Young, M.D. (SOM '75), hosted the first 3-D medical video workshop in St. Louis. For the past 40 years, PASE has provided health care professionals from all over the globe with hands-on cadaver workshops to enhance their surgical techniques and knowledge.
When Young started PASE, the building he purchased was nearly 60 years old. Now approximately a century old, PASE’s facility – featuring one of the nation’s original 3-D bio-skills labs – requires significant upgrades and repairs, including:
- Audio-visual equipment upgrades in the Auditorium, Zeiss Learning Center, and Laboratory B
- Upgrade of the elevator to ensure compliance with safety codes and ADA requirements
Your gift to the Practical Anatomy Gift Fund will be instrumental in sustaining our renowned program, advancing innovative technological resources, and maintaining accessible facilities.
