"Blue Santa reminds us that the magic of the holidays lies in the generosity of our hearts. It's more than just a holiday drive, it's a reminder that community care starts with us." – Aubra, Blue Santa Organizer
Get ready to spread some holiday cheer! Blue Santa is on a mission to gather donations for families in need, and we need your help! Bring your donations to Blue Santa's Workshop. On Giving Tuesday, contributions to the Center for Social Action will go towards purchasing toys for children and essential household items for families this holiday season.
All collected or purchased toys will be distributed through nonprofit organizations like Catholic Charities, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Mission St. Louis, LifeWise STL, Gateway 180, and Whole Kids Outreach.

"Several years ago, I remember we were able to help an employee whose husband was dying of cancer. It was just the two of them – no children, no other family – and she was struggling to make ends meet with just her salary while caring for her husband and continuing to work full-time. She was very embarrassed to ask for assistance, but her gratitude was overwhelming when we were able to help her with rent and utilities. Helping Our Own was able to lift some of the burden for her as she was able to spend those final weeks with her husband." - Cathy Zimmer, regarding the Helping Our Own Fund
The Helping Our Own Fund was created by employees of SLU to help other employees during times of financial stress. It provides a one-time monetary gift to any full-time or part-time employee experiencing an unexpected financial crisis.
