Below you will find answers to many common questions about SLU Giving Day.


Who: EVERYBODY. SLU Alumni, friends, faculty, staff, parents and students are encouraged to participate in this exciting day of online giving.

What: SLU Giving Day is an inspiring 24-hour event, when Billikens come together to support projects across Saint Louis University. On April 10, we encourage you to show your SLU spirit by making a gift.

When: Our eighth SLU Giving Day will be held on Thursday, April 10, between midnight and 11:59 p.m. Early giving opens April 3.

Where: Make your gift online on April 10at givingday.slu.edu!

Why: Your participation always matters at Saint Louis University! But today, your gift has the power to help SLU raise even more. Think a gift of $25 won’t make a difference? Added together, small gifts can achieve big results. For instance, when you give to one of the SLU Giving Day challenges, you help us reach donor participation goals needed to unlock additional funds.



How else can I get involved? Share our social media posts and use your favorite social media platforms to post why you contribute to SLU Giving Day. Use the hashtags, #SLUGivingDay to help spread the word. You can also become a SLU Giving Day Advocate to create excitement about the day, before and during the event.

Can I give to more than one challenge? Yes. Simply click “Add another gift to your donation.”

Will my gift be tax-deductible? Saint Louis University is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation. Your gift qualifies for tax deduction in accordance with IRS regulations during the calendar year that you make your gift. Consult your tax professional for more information.

Is my gift eligible to be matched by my employer? Search our matching gifts database to see if your company offers this benefit and to access the correct forms.
